Assassination of Robert Kennedy
Robert Kennedy was JFK's brother. Well, he was killed too. He was running for president and killed during the Campaign. He supported the Civil Rights and aid for the poor.
Assassination of JFK
JFK was assassinated in Dallas TX. He never got to see the rocket land on the moon. People grew sad. Everyone , including me, were quite sad. Some people wanted to make sure his plans were carried out.

Assassination of MLK
Hey! Why did you kill him!?
MLK was assassinated 5 years after his march. People became angry and turned violent as their reaction. The Civil Rights Movement lost an important leader.
Poor Martin Luther King Jr. I loved MLK. He was such a nice guy. NO MORE SEGREGATION! I thought.
TV
Hooray! Here's the TV!!!
The TV was AMAZING when it came out. My 12 brothers and sisters loved it! The TV made the world feel small. Every 9 out of 10 homes had one! Today, we have color. Back then, we had black and white. I love colored TV. I loved the old puppet shows that use to come on. My sister, Camilla Flilla WakyWoo DingDong loved them.

The Vietnam War
The Vietnam War and More!
Well, I was a kid when this happened and Vietnam was split in two. The communist Part-the Northand the non-communist part-the South. America sent supplies to help the south. But then we sent US troops to fight for the South. Luckily, we had all the bombs, tanks, and all the good stuff. The North was fast moving and tricky. Many Americans were not happy that we were involved in the Vietnam war. Some thought we should fight in the war and stop communism. Others thought we shouldn't fight in a war that wasn't ours. This war cost the Americans lots of money. Many of the soldeirs were dying. Finally, the North took over Korea.

The Space Race
The Space Race was when the US and the SU were racing to see who could get the first man on the moon. Big victory for the US!! Sorry SU! Maybe next time! I was so excited! The moon was like a circular cheese.. Oh! And guess what! The first man on the moon's foot prints are STILL there!!!
